Sue Anderson-Lenz
A 20+ year career in the software industry has given Sue Anderson-Lenz a deep understanding for the language, motivations, and needs of the software community.
While working as director for two international software firms — one focused on delivering financial information to the investment community, the other focused on delivering market research to the CPG community — she saw her share of marketing collateral filled with buzzwords and unsubstantiated claims. Everyone, it seemed, was selling industry-leading, enterprise-wide software solutions built with next generation technologies. What was desperately missing from each was WIIFM (“What’s In It For Me”).
In 2005 Sue left her software development roots to join SoftwareCEO.com as site manager and assistant publisher. Responsible for newsletter content and publication, site content, marketing and promotional material, advertising, and new business development, Sue realized that high-tech marketing could be different. In fact, clear, concise benefits and easy-to-understand language trumped impressive-sounding buzzwords every time.
Her passion for marketing led her to found Marketing Lure (formerly known as eVoice Marketing and Communications), where she now helps high-tech clients transform their tech-focused marketing material into direct, meaningful copy that sells.
Sue is Pragmatic Marketing certified (PMC) and holds a Masters in Computer Science from Michigan State University.
When she’s not writing, you’ll find her running, gardening, or hiking with her dog Joey by her side.
